Research summary | This project will identify existing formal and informal social protection systems, including multiple climate financing schemes that can facilitate anticipatory actions to enhance climate resilience, particularly among marginalised groups such as women, children, and other socially excluded communities. Specific potential contributions of the project findings to the wider policy discussions include (1) the understanding and potential development of alternative protection through community-based arrangements; (2) the development of a comprehensive approach for climate protection through social protection and alternative protection, (3) the potential improvements of formal social protection for ASP development, and the (4) a formulation of new social protection programs that can be uptaken by the government. |
