Research summary | This project will address resilience of socio-ecosystems and local livelihoods in small islands in eastern Indonesia. The project will adopt multiple methods that incorporates data on the biophysical, livelihood, food nutrition, gender and extreme natural hazards to develop and test ecosystem resilience and risk reduction modelling; promote gender sensitive agroforestry best practices models and developed manuals; and develop policy and regulatory instruments to implement programs on water conservation and agroforestry practices. Anticipated outcomes include the potential contribution to the pathways for implementing Indonesia Adaptation Strategies promoting socio-ecological climate and livelihood resilience of small islands in Indonesia and beyond. |
