Background
The DFAT-funded Knowledge Partnership Program (KONEKSI) is Australia’s flagship program in the Indonesia knowledge and innovation sector. KONEKSI’s goal is to achieve an enduring relationship between Indonesia and Australia that advances mutual interest and supports Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable development. The purpose of the program is to increase the use of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies. This purpose positions KONEKSI as a vehicle to produce knowledge on complex socio-economic problems, where effective solutions are often beyond a unique sector or category of stakeholders. It will support both the knowledge to policy cycle (K2P) and the knowledge to innovation cycle (K2I), in a complementary and synergistic way. KONEKSI will focus on two End of Investment Outcomes (EOIOs):
- Australian and Indonesian organisations have increased collaboration and mutual understanding through knowledge partnerships; and
- Innovative solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies are generated by knowledge partnerships.
Summary of the Position
KONEKSI is seeking a content specialist to develop high-quality, engaging, and relevant content under the supervision and guidance of the Communications Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The Content Specialist will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the communication manager, develop and implement a content strategy for KONEKSI digital media channels that supports overall program goals and communication efforts;
- Develop and produce a wide range of content, including text, images, videos, and infographics that is optimised for search engines to improve organic visibility and reach in coordination with graphic designer for visual element;
- Maintain and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely content delivery;
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools and providing regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
Deliverables
The Content Specialist is expected to work on the creation of content of KONEKSI digital media channels. Deliverables include the following:
- Content strategy and calendar.
- Well-researched, accurate, engaging, and error-free contents that can encompass various formats such as blog posts, articles, social media updates, website content, email campaigns, and more.
- Analytics and reporting.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related discipline;
- Minimum of 5 years of working as content specialist may be considered in lieu of academic degree;
Minimum Experience:
- At least 3 years experience as a content specialist, content creator, content writer, or similar role.
Essential Skills:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
- Creativity and an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools for content evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in international development is an asset.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
