Research summary | This project aims to combine seaweed farming with solar salt production to produce blue carbon, commercial-grade seaweeds, renewable (electrical) energy, potable water, and quality solar salts. The research involves the development of a coupled seaweed and solar salt farming system through an organic Rankine cycle system and a seawater reverse osmosis desalination system. The pilot project will produce a prototype ready for commercialisation. |
