Research summary | The project aims to increase the sustainability of infrastructure-oriented solutions to flooding, providing an assessment framework to improve the knowledge and understanding of the direct and potential impacts of such infrastructure adaptations in Semarang on the livelihoods, socio-economic conditions, and longer-term sustainability of the diverse communities involved. The design of this framework is an innovative approach to address the current negative impacts of some technical interventions, using qualitative methods. The project will contribute to policy and tools that encourage inclusive and sustainable development and facilitate knowledge sharing between Semarang and Brisbane. |
