| Research summary | This project focuses on food insecurity, health and the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on the livelihoods of vulnerable communities. Through a mixed methods approach, the project will produce evidence of (1) the diet and health status of a coastal community, including population groups at greatest risk of poor outcomes; (2) the key challenges for people in maintaining food security and good health; (3) current adaptive practices to overcome these challenges; and (4) community priorities for multisectoral support. The outcomes will target policy and service initiatives to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change on food security and health. |
