Research summary | This research aims to enhance peri-urban agriculture’s resilience to climate change, ensuring a reliable food supply for Indonesia’s urban centers. The objectives of this research are: (1) building a comprehensive dataset, enhancing the understanding of peri-urban value chains in these regions, (2) identification of intervention priorities and opportunities for innovation, such as how the value chains can link with market demand for carbon neutral and more sustainable food products, (3) interventions to build resilience and sustainability of food supply at multiple scales , and (4) enhance research team’s professional capabilities, gaining in-depth knowledge and skills in systems dynamics modelling and carbon footprint analysis. |
